Imi Knoebel

De Brock Gallery is very pleased to announce its second solo exhibition with the renowned German abstract artist Imi Knoebel. Imi Knoebel’s minimalist hybrids of painting and sculpture explore relationships between color, structure, form and material. Knoebel studied under Joseph Beuys but drew formative influence from early Modernism in his consistent return to the notion of pure perception through the exploration of form and color. The exhibition comprises eight recent works, illustrating the multiple directions that Knoebel's rich vocabulary is following.
